Passengers are urged to dispose of their local foreign currency before departure from the country where it is current. Small amounts not disposed of will be bought by the Purser at the current rate which may by less than the cost to the passsenger, as it must he disposed of in another country.

During the voyage, passengers are requested to refer all baggage matters to the Baggage Officer in baggage matters. No other ship's employees are authorized to accept orders concerning baggage. Should, nevertheless, any arrangements be made between passengers and stewards or other members of the crew, such are looked upon as purely private arrangements and are not binding on the Company.
Passengers are requested in their own interest to keep their hand baggage with them, both on boarding and leaving the steamer, the Company being in no way responsible for hand baggage.
All other baggage delivered to the Company for which a receipt has been issued is carried in accordance with the stipulations on the passage contract ticket.
The Company will not, under any circumstances, assume responsibility for loss or damage to baggage while in its custody beyond marks 200.— for the baggage of each passenger paying full fare.
Passengers wishing to cover themselves for an amount higher than the aforementioned sum, are strongly recommended to take out an insurance policy which may be procured on board through the Purser.
Gratuities. The payment of gratuities to the servants is left to the discretion of the passengers. Employees, while allowed to accept fees, must never ask for them. We would suggest that passengers intending to give any such gratuities should accord preference to the room steward, the table steward and the deck steward, and that payments to other employees should only be made as rewards for services specially rendered.
If employees importune passengers for gratuities, they should be reported at once to the Captain, the Purser or the Chief Steward.
Soliciting for collections of any nature without the approval of the Captain cannot be allowed.
