All Hands Magazine, a publication also known as Bureau of Naval Personnel Information Bulletin, is published monthly in Washington, D. C., by the Bureau of Naval Personnel for the information and interest of the naval service as a whole. Issues from 1945, 1946, 1947, 1949, 1950, 1953, 1954, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1977, 1980, 1985, 1991.
APPROACH: The Naval Aviation Safety Review
APPROACH is published monthly by the U.S. Naval Aviation Safety Center and is distributed to naval aeronautical organizations. It presents the most accurate information currently available on the subject of aviation accident prevention.
Published monthly by Chief of Naval Operations and Bureau of Naval Weapons to disseminate data on aircraft training and operations, space technology, missile, rocket and other aviation ordnance developments, aeronautical safety, aircraft design, power plants, aircraft recognition, technical maintenance, and overhaul procedures. Issues available from 1962, 1963, 1966, 1977, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996.
The Naval History magazine is a gold mine of information for the history or military buff and is currently published every other month. Issues from 1990 and prior were published quarterly. Issues available from 1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, 1998.
Naval Institute Proceedings Magazine 1945-2000
Issues available from 1945, 1946, 1949, 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960. 1961, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1998, and 1999.
Our Navy Magazine was a magazine published by Our Navy, Inc. covering the activities of the U. S. Navy. It began publication in 1897, initially issued on the first and fifteenth of each month. It became a monthly publication beginning with its January 1960 issue. Every issue contained several feature articles in addition to the news pertinent to personnel of the U. S. Navy, often dealing with Pay, Benefits, Clothing (changes to uniforms, etc.). During the war years (World War I and II), they would also list information for casualties reported by the Navy Department. Issues available from 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1949, 1959, 1960, 1963, 1968, 1969, 1972.
The Hook: Journal of Carrier Aviation
The Hook is the official quarterly journal of the Tailhook Association. It is the only publication in the world dedicated to telling the story of U.S. Navy carrier aviation, both past, and present. Issues available from 1982, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1992, 1994, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006.
