Built by Forges & Chantiers de la Méditerranée, La Seyne, France. Tonnage: 11,996. Dimensions: 511'x 59'. Twin- screw, 16 knots. Triple expansion engines. Two masts and three funnels. Launched, August 4, 1914. Maiden voyage: Marseilles-New York, June 1, 1920. Boston became a port of call at a later date. Ownership Transfer: Transferred to Messageries Maritimes service in 1932. Fate: Broken up for scrap in 1952. Sister ship: Patria.
