Built by "Vulkan," Stettin, Germany. Tonnage: 24,581. Dimensions: 677 x 77 (699' o.l.). Twin-screw, 18 knots. Quadruple expansion engines. Four masts and two funnels. Note: Launched as the largest ship in the world. Passengers: 472 first. 174 second, 1,820 third. Maiden Voyage: 10 May 1906 Hamburg-Dover-Cherbourg-New York. Route: Hamburg to New York. WW1 Reparations: Ceded to Great Britain after first World War. Post War Service: Served in Cunard Line fleet for a time. Ownership Change: Acquired by Canadian Pacific Line in 1921. Renamed: Empress of Scotland (1921). Fate: Out of Service in 1930, Scrapped in 1934.
