Built by Palmer's Shipbuilding & Iron Co., Newcastle, England. Tonnage: 2,950. Dimensions: 329' x 38'. Propulsion: Single-screw, 13 knots. Compound engines, aft. Masts and Funnels: Three masts and one funnel. Additional Features: Iron hull. Funnel placed aft. Launched, June 23, 1873. Service: Antwerp-Philadelphia. Final voyage to New York in 1893. Fate: Scrapped in Italy, 1906. Sister ships: Switzerland and Vaderland.
