Laid down, December 13, 1913. Launched, February 7, 1920. Maiden voyage: Genoa-Naples-South America, May 4, 1922. Delay in completion of liner was due to World War I. Services: (a) North Atlantic (b) South Atlantic. Transferred to Italia Line in 1932. Placed in South Africa service in 1933. Acquired by Lloyd Triestino in 1935. Capsized and sunk at Trieste in May 1945. The hulk was broken up for scrap in 1947. Sister ship: Duilio.

Keel laid, July 28, 1949. Launched, May 18, 1950. Maiden voyage from Italy to South America, October 27, 1951. Passengers: 180 first, 288 cabin, 714 tourist. Transferred to the North Atlantic service in 1956. Sister ship: Augustus.
