SS President Monroe Vintage Menu Collection
Vintage menus for the SS President Monroe in the GG Archives collection represent the souvenir breakfast, luncheon, dinner, daily, private party, special occasion, and specialty menus provided to the passengers during their voyage. Many of these souvenir menus have disappeared over the years.

1922-08-10 SS President Monroe Captain's Farewell Dinner Menu
Vintage Captain's Farewell Dinner Menu from 10 August 1922 on board the SS President Monroe of the United States Lines featured Poached Halibot, Normandie, Lamb Cutlets, Dartois, and Glacé au Chocolat for dessert. A list of chief officers for this voyage was included.
Our collection contains a sampling of menus initially produced and printed by the steamship lines. They are often used to illustrate family history books for immigrants from this time.
