SS Oranje Nassau Vintage Menu Collection
Vintage menus for the SS Oranje Nassau in the GG Archives collection represent the souvenir breakfast, luncheon, dinner, daily, private party, special occasion, and specialty menus provided to the passengers during their voyage. Many of these souvenir menus have disappeared over the years.
1926-08-22 SS Oranje Nassau Farewell Dinner Menu
Vintage Farewell Dinner Menu Post Card from 22 August 1926 on board the SS Oranje Nassau of the Royal Netherlands Steamship Company featured Suprême of Turbot à la Nantua, Leg of Roebuck à la Niçoise, and Fancy Cake for dessert.
Our collection contains a sampling of menus initially produced and printed by the steamship lines. They are often used to illustrate family history books for immigrants from this time.
