Launched: April 14, 1869. Maiden voyage: Hamburg-Havre-New York, June 22, 1869. Renamed: (a) Pacifica (1887-1888) British, (b) Citta di Napoli (1888-1891) Italian, (c) Montevideo (1891-1899) Italian. Fate: Ran aground near the island of Lobos in the River Plate between Uruguay and Argentina in December 1899. Sister ships: Holsatia and Westphalia.
