Photographs of Spitsbergen (Sptizbergen) from 1908 published by the Hamburg-Amerika Linie in the book, Nordland Fahrten. Spitsbergen (formerly known as West Spitsbergen, and sometimes misspelled Spitzbergen) is a Norwegian island, the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic Ocean.
