Smith & Wesson Model 916 Shotgun (1978)
Here's why the Model 916 pumps up the value of your shotgun dollar.
As an all-around shotgun, the S&W Model 916 Pump gives you top dollar value. Here's a basic shotgun for a lifetime of hunting seasons. All kinds of hunting. Doves, ducks or deer.

The Model 916 feels right, swings easy, points naturally. With an easy, smooth shucking pump action. And it's S&W dependable.
Available in 12 and 20 gauge, the Model 916 offers a full selection of models, barrel lengths and chokes.
Chambered for 3-inch Magnum shells to meet the needs of duck hunters, it operates just as dependably with standard 2 3/4-inch shells.
The Barrel
Precision machined from ordnance grade steel. Reamed to gauge and choked for optimum shot pattern. And you don't have to worry about steel shot.
The 916 successfully passed a thorough testing program including extremely high proof pressures and endurance with commercial steel shot loaded in accordance with recommendations of the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute.
The Receiver
Machined from a solid block of ordnance grade steel. Hardened at critical lock areas for added strength and longer wear.
The Bolt
Engineered for jam-free shell extraction and positive feed. Extractor engages the shell base with a positive grip that gets stronger as the shell is pulled from the chamber.
Stock and Fore End
Stock and fore end are hand sculptured. Out of finely grained, walnut finished hardwood. With ventilated recoil pad if you want it.
Model 916T with Interchangeable Barrels
Here's a "takedown" Model 916 that covers all your hunting needs with interchangeable barrels. Extra barrels available in all combinations of lengths and chokes, including the 20-inch slug barrel with rifle sights in 12 gauge. And changing barrels is simple procedure.
Pump up the value of your shotgun dollar. Get S&W quality performance and versatility in the Model 916 or 916T. (Great starter guns for young hunters, too.)
