Validity of the biaretto. - The pass ticket is valid only for the departure for which it was issued and for the persons indicated in it.

No presentation at departure. - A passenger who does not present himself / herself at the right time or who does not take any boarding, has no right to any reimbursement of the reasonable price but must instead complete the payment of the freight if he has not paid in full. In the case of non-embarkation due to the death of the passenger, the Company will correspond to the heirs (who must legally document their quality) the partial refund established by Article 583 paragraph 2 of the current Italian Commercial Code. Fires, thefts, enemies and pirates, barteries, orders of princes, riots, recognized or unrecognized acts of government, direct or indirect consequences of the state of war of any nation, screams of ships, investments, or other events of navigation, outbreak, failure or breakage of boilers, machines, piping or on-board installations and the like. The Company does not even answer for damage caused to the things of passengers by pouring liquids, breaking fragile objects, shedding of goods, rust, humidity due to rain, sea water evaporation, contact with other goods or exhalations of the same, as well as not responding to damage caused by mice, insects, animals of any kind. The Company does not respond for diseases in general, even contagious or epidemic, contracted on board for any reason.

Ticket transfer. - Passage tickets can not be transferred to others. If it happens that the passenger is not the true ticket holder who presents or makes use of an invalid ticket, he / she will be required to pay the passage to the fare price with an increase of 50%, except for the greater rights due to the Company towards passenger.

Passenger obligations. - The passenger must comply with the prescriptions of the Italian and foreign laws as well as with the regulations of the company and with the instructions given by the commander.

Assignment of the cabins * - The passenger will occupy the place indicated in the ticket and in the absence of an indication, the one assigned to him by the Captain. The Company reserves the right to allocate seats other than those booked to the passenger, provided they are of equal price. If the availability of the booked seats changes due to modifications or different destination of the rooms on board the Piroscafo, the Company will have the right to cancel the reservation by returning the deposit already collected, excluding any compensation.

Medical examination. - The Company is fully entitled, on the opinion of its Health Inspector, to refuse reimbursement to passengers suffering from illness or repugnance deformities, and for any other reason to those passengers whose anticipation will be hindered the landing by the immigration authorities of the country of destination, and disembarking them during the crossing in the intermediate port when he judged it opportune, excluding any right to compensation.

Quarantine - The Company is not liable to the passenger for the sanitary measures to which it was subjected. Baggage Service.

a) Every passenger has the right to the free transport of the baggage to the extent indicated by the rates in force. The excess baggage beyond the indicated limits, will be taxed according to the tariff rate "goods in general" in force at the start.

b) - Each package on labels issued by the Company must clearly state the name of the Steamer, - the port of destination and the name of the passenger.

c) - The Company is not liable for damages caused by insufficiency or defect in packaging.

d) - The Company undertakes to transport the baggage from the departing station by means of the "Espresso Bagagli"

Passengers wishing to take advantage of this service must deliver or send to the Company (Baggage Office) the railway receipts, not later than the day before departure.

e) - The costs of boarding and disembarking the baggage are always charged to the passenger, who must personally make sure that the baggage is boarded, withdrawing from the Company's agent, the relative receipt.

f) - The passenger must take care of the immediate collection of the baggage at the arrival port, or of transhipment for the journeys in combined service, delivering the receipt received at the time of departure to the person in charge of the company. Upon delivery, all claims for claims will expire.

g) - By failing to promptly collect baggage from passengers, the Company will deposit them to Customs or authorized depots, according to the provisions of the local Authorities, at the expense and risk of the owners.

l) - The Company is not responsible for the loss of money or valuables, nor is it liable for the packages that passengers carry in their cabins.

m) - the complaints must be presented in writing; to the Company or its Agency before boarding if it is necessary to take on baggage; to the Commander and before arrival at destination if it is in fact occurred during the crossing, to the Company or Agency in the port of arrival and at the time of disembarkation in other cases, all under penalty of forfeiture. Baggage insurance - We recommend to Sigg. Passengers to insure their baggage as the Company assumes no responsibility for loss or deterioration of baggage, beyond the maximum limit of 100 Lire per item.

This contract, although not regulated by the above clauses, is subject to the Italian Commercial Code. All disputes that were to arise In dependence and relationship to this contract must be promoted before the Genoa authorities expressly waiving the jurisdiction of any other authority.
